I went in search of a photo that would give a good look at the clouds and also something about Wichita.
I have not gotten a good photo of our airport, Mid-Continent Airport, so I headed west to a road parallel to the airport, Tyler Road.
I arrive at the south end of the airport and see the sly is changing rather quickly, so I pull of the road and get a few handheld shots

and then I get my tripod from the trunk of my car and set it up, as I am doing so I notice the traffic is slowing down a bit and ofcourse people are chatting on cell phones, then i see the police helicopter circling the airport......I am starting to wonder what is up....I miss a couple of passenger jet take offs cause I am watching the chopper and then it dawns on me it's me they are watching...so I move my tripod from behind my car...give them a clear view of tag and waved at them....got a couple of really dramatic cloud shots over the airport with the tower and a couple of planes sitting off to the side......so here is one of the podded images from tonight

There has been absolutely no post processing on either one of these photos they are as they came straight out of the camera.
